Let's build a community fridge together in Badagry

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Harmony Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $165, and the remaining cost is $150. It will serve about 328 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $150 goes: • Permits and inspections: $30 • Tools hire and delivery: $65 • Safety equipment and signage: $55 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people. - Modupe
