The Haddad family fled Syria - help them rebuild in Leicester

After fleeing Syria, the Haddad family has arrived in Leicester with little more than their documents. They need help with a deposit, furniture and the first months.

Leicester
My family left Syria 9 months ago after we were targeted for our work. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Leicester. We're a family of seven and we're safe, but we arrived with very little. Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in November. I was a teacher in Syria, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well. We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months. All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent). Where the $3,600 goes: • Beds, table and basic furniture: $1,100 • Language classes and bus passes: $560 • Rent deposit and first month: $1,940 Glad we found this place. - Lucas

Shared it with a few friends. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Leicester.
