Tameka was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in December. The surgeon at Montego Bay Regional Medical Center recommended emergency hernia repair, and She is scheduled for March. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,400, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,200 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Montego Bay Regional Medical Center since December. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without emergency hernia repair. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,400 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Tameka struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Tameka won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
