A covered market stall space for Unity Park: help our neighbors in Pune
Volunteers in Pune are raising $450 for a covered market stall space at Unity Park.
🇮🇳 Pune, Maharashtra, India990 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Park, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $100, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 564 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $450 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $45
• Materials: $330
• Tools hire and delivery: $75
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

is there anything that isn't money that would help Vikas?
Sharing the link is the biggest thing. And if you know anything about permits and inspections, advice is welcome too. I'll keep the page updated.
