Stop the eviction: 3 months of rent for Ifeoma's family in Epe
After a long illness, Ifeoma is 3 months behind on rent and has a court summons for non-payment from the landlord.
🇳🇬 Epe, Lagos, Nigeria881 views
After a sudden layoff at the restaurant, Ifeoma fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Sunday a court summons for non-payment was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $600.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by July, the family must leave.
There are 2 children at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Ifeoma has started working weekend shifts, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $600 goes:
• First month of rent as a buffer: $100
• Rent arrears (3 months): $480
• Utilities in arrears: $20
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

- 2026-07-02
- bill type
- Rent arrears

Shared this with my family. My husband and I read this together. Love from London
Best of luck. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care.
Thinking of you and your family, Zubby. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Put this on a community board in Coventry this morning
