For twelve years I have run a fish stall in Lahore. In December, a storm that collapsed the roof took a freezer and scales. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go. Where the $350 goes: • Initial stock: the first catch: $95 • Replacing a freezer and scales: $210 • Shop repairs and licensing: $45 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Updates from Mehwish

  1. Small update. $270 so far, I made the first payment toward replacing a freezer and scales.

  2. Update from Lahore: I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts. We're at 41% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  3. Good news. Because of your gifts ($70 in total) I made the first payment toward shop repairs and licensing. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
