Taylor was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in September. The oncology team at Sherbrooke University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Taylor is 30, worked as a bus conductor until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Sherbrooke University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $4,500 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $650
• Scans and lab work: $980
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,800
• Transport to Sherbrooke University Hospital: $1,070
