Standing with Sunita: thyroid cancer treatment costs

Sunita was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in June. The oncology team at the Swansea Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Sunita is 38, worked as a hairdresser until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Swansea Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $8,200 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,500
• Scans and lab work: $1,050
• Transport to the Swansea Oncology Institute: $460
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $470
• Household costs while unable to work: $720
