Standing with Imelda: prostate cancer treatment costs

Imelda was diagnosed with prostate cancer in December. The oncology team at the Makati Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in March. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Imelda is 29, worked as a farmer until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Makati Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
