Standing with Aravind: stomach cancer treatment costs
Aravind is facing stomach cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Aravind was diagnosed with stomach cancer in August. The oncology team at Pune University Hospital has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in December. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Aravind is 51, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Pune University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,800 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $300
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,200
• Household costs while unable to work: $230
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $70
