The Neighbors' Pantry pantry in San Cristóbal de las Casas is running low just as demand rises; $750 will stock it for 9 weeks.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Monday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 20 families, and now we feed 60 each week. Donations have dropped by about 55% this winter, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 15 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the San Cristóbal de las Casas market and keep every receipt. Each $15 feeds a family of four for a week. I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday. Where the $750 goes: • Baby formula and diapers: $55 • Refrigeration and electricity: $70 • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $625 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot. - María
