Nabirye lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at Mwanza General Hospital has assessed her and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $500. Her current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 4 weeks. With the right equipment Nabirye could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $500 goes: • adapted tricycle: $410 • Fitting and training sessions: $15 • Delivery and set-up: $25 • First-year servicing plan: $50 Thank you for reading my story.

  • hang in there. Hope the doctors have good news. After 19 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Mwanza.
