Help Lucía start the school year with the right tools
Lucía won a place at Mar del Plata Science Academy but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

Lucían earned a place in Grade 9 at Mar del Plata Science Academy, and the family couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things She needs, including a laptop for the chemistry course, and a uniform.
The family has few resources; the list costs $210, which is more than they have.
Lucía loves chemistry and wants to become a teacher. A laptop will allow coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
She will take care of everything given and works very hard.
I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything.
Where the $210 goes:
• Laptop: $115
• School uniform and shoes: $25
• Textbooks and workbooks: $65
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $5
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Keep going, Teresa. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Wish I lived closer to Joliet so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Mar del Plata
Thanks for sharing this, Teresa. Hope you get there. Love from Quezon City
Hope it all works out, Teresa. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors
Stay strong. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Thinking of Mar del Plata.
Thinking of you and your family. I hope things turn around soon. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. God bless
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Lucía
Laptop is $115 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Ask me anything else.
Good luck. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier
everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
Wishing you peace, Teresa. Shared this with my family. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. God bless.
Praying for you, Teresa. Your post was clear and honest. After 26 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from Joliet.
Keep going. Hope you get there. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Mar del Plata
