St. Petersburg flood relief - the families of Harbor Lane
Neighbors in the families of Harbor Lane are rebuilding after the flood; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The flood hit the families of Harbor Lane on 1 August. My home was one of 16 damaged, and 14 families are still in temporary shelter at a borrowed warehouse.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $8,750 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $4,950
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $1,250
• Food parcels for displaced families: $1,750
• Clean water and purification supplies: $800
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. We're a small family in Shreveport but we're thinking of you. God bless.
Hang in there, Arianna. Hope you get there. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
Hope it all works out, Arianna. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I hope November is when things finally get easier
