Owen's ACL reconstruction can't wait - please help us cover the bill
A scheduled ACL reconstruction in May is out of reach without help covering $7,150 of the cost.

Owen was diagnosed with a hernia that has become strangulated in March. The surgeon at Saint Matthew Hospital recommended ACL reconstruction, and He is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $12,000, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $7,150 short.
my son has been in and out of Saint Matthew Hospital since March. The doctors say a hernia that has become strangulated will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $12,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Owen struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Owen won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.

What exactly is the $7,150 for?
