Seoul storm relief - the Marketplace district
The storm damaged 87 homes in the Marketplace district. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The storm hit the Marketplace district on 26 February. My home was one of 87 damaged, and 3 families are still in temporary shelter at the community hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $4,200 goes:
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,150
• Roofing sheets and timber: $1,850
• Food parcels for displaced families: $760
• Clean water and purification supplies: $440
I hope life is good to you.

Updates from Si-woo
Update from Seoul: I met with the suppliers and confirmed the amounts. We're at 27% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($714 in total) the plan for tools and labor for repairs is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
Small update. $377 so far, we've started the first stage.

Take care, Si-woo. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. God bless.
thinking of you. It takes guts to ask. Well done.
Thanks for sharing this, Si-woo. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Put this on a community board in Quezon City this morning. Blessings
great idea, hope you get there. I'll check back for the next update. Take care.
rooting for you. More neighborhoods should do this. All the best!
