Surgery fund for Winnie: gallbladder removal in Kampala

In September I was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect. My surgeon at Saint Anne Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and I have been placed on the schedule for December. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $1,100, and after what the public health scheme will pay, I'm still $650 short.
