Valentina's prostate cancer treatment fund
Valentina is facing prostate cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Valentina was diagnosed with prostate cancer in August. The oncology team at the Akron Oncology Institute has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Valentina is 34, worked as a tailor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Akron Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $8,350 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,400
• Scans and lab work: $1,050
• Transport to the Akron Oncology Institute: $730
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $390
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,780

Sure. The biggest one is chemotherapy and medication not covered, $4,400. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Happy to explain more.
