School supplies and a laptop for Modupe in Onitsha
Modupe won a place at Onitsha Girls' High School but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.
🇳🇬 Onitsha, Anambra, Nigeria939 views
I earned a place in Form 4 at Onitsha Girls' High School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the design and technology course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $150, which is more than we have.
I love design and technology and want to become an architect. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything.
Where the $150 goes:
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $15
• Laptop: $100
• School uniform and shoes: $35
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Modupe.
It's all in the list in the story. calculator, stationery and a school bag is the big one at $15, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Thanks for asking.
Hope things get better soon, Modupe. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
