Simona was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in July. The oncology team at the Rome Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Simona is 34, worked as a construction supervisor until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Rome Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,750 goes: • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $510 • Scans and lab work: $830 • Transport to the Rome Oncology Institute: $410 Thank you for reading my story.
