Save Nala: Ella can't afford the emergency vet
Nala, Ella's senior cat, needs urgent treatment for a tumor on the spleen costing $2,650.

Nala is my senior cat of nine years. On 11 February we rushed to the Los Angeles Emergency Vet Clinic with a tumor on the spleen. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $2,650.
They have stabilized Nala, but the treatment can't wait beyond May.
Nala is more than a pet - Nala is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $135 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to the Los Angeles Emergency Vet Clinic's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $2,650 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,800
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $460
• Medication and follow-up visits: $145
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $245
