Santos flood relief - the Sunrise neighborhood
After the flood, families in the Sunrise neighborhood need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The flood hit the Sunrise neighborhood on 28 January. My home was one of 85 damaged, and 2 families are still in temporary shelter at a mosque and church hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $620
• Food parcels for displaced families: $280
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $450
I hope life is good to you.

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Put this on a community board in Coyoacán this morning. God bless.
gave what I could, wish it was more. My neighbor in Montpellier donated after I showed her your page
thanks for sharing this, Anderson. Looking forward to the next update. Wish I lived closer to Iztapalapa so I could bring a meal. God bless.
