Saeed is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an accounting degree at Mecca Community College, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,000.
The registrar has said Saeed can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Saeed has a 3.6 average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Saeed would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Saeed isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Mecca Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
