The Union vacant lot needs a skate park - Michelle's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Detroit are raising $3,050 for a skate park at the Union vacant lot.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $3,050.
It will serve about 513 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Safety equipment and signage: $360
• Tools hire and delivery: $255

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. materials comes first ($2,250) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. I'll keep the page updated.
