A craniotomy for Raymond: covering what insurance won't
A scheduled a craniotomy in October is out of reach without help covering $2,200 of the cost.

Raymond was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in July. The surgeon at Riverside Orthopedic Institute recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,950, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $2,200 short.
my husband has been in and out of Riverside Orthopedic Institute since July. The doctors say a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,950 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Raymond struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Raymond won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
