Rides to dialysis three times a week for Kamrul in Dhaka
Could you drive Kamrul to the Dhaka Dialysis Unit on Tuesday? A rota of 3 drivers is forming.
🇧🇩 Dhaka, Dhaka, Bangladesh215 views
Kamrul has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to the Dhaka Dialysis Unit alone. After a foot amputation, Kamrul can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 35 km each way.
Kamrul is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
- effort
- one weekly trip
- format
- In person in Dhaka
- skills
- reliable car, clean driving record
