We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a rainwater harvesting system - we need $4,250 for materials.

Denver
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $4,250. It will serve about 554 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $4,250 goes: • Materials: $3,300 • Permits and inspections: $240 • Safety equipment and signage: $330 • Tools hire and delivery: $380 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
