Rides to dialysis three times a week for Caleb in Gatineau
A rota of drivers to the Gatineau Kidney Centre would keep Caleb on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.
🇨🇦 Gatineau, Quebec, Canada1,035 views
Caleb has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to the Gatineau Kidney Centre alone. After a minor stroke, Caleb can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 13 km each way.
Caleb is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
