Vikash and a toddler and a seven-year-old need a bridge to stability after my partner leaving.

Since my partner leaving in August, I'm now raising a toddler and a seven-year-old on my own. I work as a driver, but my income doesn't cover rent, childcare and groceries. I'm retraining as a medical coder in the evenings, which will triple my income by November, but I need to bridge the gap until then. Some weeks I skip meals so my children can eat. I have never asked anyone for help like this before, and I'm doing it for them. Once I finish my course, I'll pay it forward. Money goes toward rent, groceries, after-school care and the cost of my course. I'll give a monthly update with receipts. Where the $950 goes: • Rent top-up: $480 • Groceries and school meals: $330 • Course fees and exam costs: $140 Thanks for reading all this.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Vikash!

          • Rent top-up is $480 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. It helps to be asked.

        • Best of luck. Hope you get there. Sent it to 13 people at work.
