Volunteer tutor needed: French for a motivated student in Tangier

Ines is working hard on French but can't afford a tutor; 1 hours a week until the board would help enormously.

My niece, Ines, is 14 and in the final year of school. Ines loves school but French has been a struggle since the school was closed during the floods. The board exam is in November. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend an hour or two a week, in person in Tangier or online, for about ten weeks. Ines is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in French, you could change the course of Ines's year. I hope life is good to you.

Sending love. Shared this with my family. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money!

        • Keep going. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Thinking of Tangier.

Wishing you the best, Amira. This could happen to any of us. After 7 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
