Rebuilding after the storm: the Orchard neighborhood needs your help
Neighbors in the Orchard neighborhood are rebuilding after the storm; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The storm hit the Orchard neighborhood on 13 August. My home was one of 57 damaged, and 12 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $9,150 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $4,400
• Clean water and purification supplies: $740
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $510
• Food parcels for displaced families: $1,700
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,800
Glad we found this place.

keep going. More neighborhoods should do this. All the best.
Hope it all works out, Ludwig. Looking forward to the next update. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings!
