I'm caring for my mother, who's 95. After the death of her spouse Rebecca can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Rebecca desperately wants to stay at home. I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer. Rebecca worked all of her life as a factory worker, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference. The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices. Where the $550 goes: • Part-time carer (four months): $350 • Medication and prescriptions: $60 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $65 • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $75 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Updates from Kwaku

  1. Update from Kumasi: I made the first payment toward mobility aids and bathroom adaptations. We're at 39% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 3% now ($15). I'm honestly stunned. we've booked the dates and paid the deposit.
