Let's build a covered market stall space together in La Plata
Volunteers in La Plata are raising $1,050 for a covered market stall space at Sycamore Park.
🇦🇷 Buenos Aires, Argentina1,534 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Sycamore Park, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $1,050.
It will serve about 222 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Materials: $810
• Permits and inspections: $85
• Safety equipment and signage: $50
• Tools hire and delivery: $105
I hope life is good to you.

sending love, Nicolás. Shared it with a few friends. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
Sending love. This could happen to any of us. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Love from Kingston
Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Kasarani.
