Princess wants to stay at home - help fund four months of care
Princess cannot afford the care She needs after a diagnosis of dementia; we are asking for $950.
🇵🇭 Philippines449 views
I'm caring for my mother, who's 84. After a diagnosis of dementia Princess can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Princess desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Princess worked all of her life as a schoolteacher, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $950 goes:
• Part-time carer (four months): $810
• Medication and prescriptions: $65
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $30
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $45
Every share and every dollar helps.

Good luck. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Please keep us posted.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Princess.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. part-time carer (four months) comes first ($810) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. It helps to be asked.
Rooting for you, Jericho. Hope the doctors have good news.
Sending good thoughts, Jericho. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
Take care, Jericho. Shared it with a few friends. Love from Abuja.
