Back-to-school fund for Zubair
Help Zubair begin Grade 9 with a laptop, uniform and books.
🇵🇰 Pakistan1,031 views
I earned a place in Grade 9 at Lahore Science Academy, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the biology course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $110, which is more than we have.
I love biology and want to become an engineer. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything.
Where the $110 goes:
• Laptop: $65
• School uniform and shoes: $10
• Textbooks and workbooks: $30
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $5
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Gave what I could, wish it was more. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Lahore.

Thank you. If you're in Lahore I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks for looking so closely.
Hang in there, Zubair. Shared this with my family. Put this on a community board in Islamabad this morning
how is Zubair doing now?
This could happen to any of us. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day!
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Zubair.
Sure. The biggest one is laptop, $65. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. It helps to be asked.
