Plant 3,000 native trees around the Liberty riverbank in Peshawar
Help us clean and replant the Liberty riverbank before the November planting window closes.
🇵🇰 Pakistan430 views
The Liberty riverbank has been used as an informal dump for years. This August, 105 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 168 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the municipal water board, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
We'll post planting day photos and a count of every sapling planted.
Where the $300 goes:
• Native saplings and stakes: $85
• Tools and protective gear: $85
• Waste removal and skip hire: $75
• Signage and educational materials: $55
Thanks for reading all this.

Good luck, Humaira. I hope things turn around soon. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Nairobi.
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Humaira
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. native saplings and stakes comes first ($85) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Appreciate you taking the time.
Good luck. Your post was clear and honest. Greetings from New Orleans.
Praying for you. Your post was clear and honest. After 14 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless.
