Maple is my dog of thirteen years. On 15 August we rushed to the Nijmegen Emergency Vet Clinic with bloat. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $2,000. They have stabilized Maple, but the treatment can't wait beyond October. Maple is more than a pet - Maple is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $185 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan. Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back. If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to the Nijmegen Emergency Vet Clinic's charity fund for other animals.
