Irfan is one semester away from finishing an accounting degree but is blocked from enrolling by an unpaid balance of $600.

Irfan is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an accounting degree at Karachi Community College, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $600.
The registrar has said Irfan can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Irfan has a 3.6 average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Irfan would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Irfan isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $600 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $320
• Final term tuition: $220
• Exam and lab fees: $15
• Textbooks and materials: $45

Take care. This could happen to any of us. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Karachi.
shared this with my family. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. All the best.
Hope it all works out, Fatima. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. All the best.
