Keep a roof over Oğuz's head in Üsküdar
After a sudden layoff, Oğuz is 3 months behind on rent and has a 10-day notice to quit from the landlord.

After a sudden layoff at the hotel, Oğuz fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Friday a 10-day notice to quit was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $950.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by October, the family must leave.
There are two young children at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Oğuz has started working weekend shifts, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $950 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $610
• Late fees and court costs: $50
• Utilities in arrears: $85
• First month of rent as a buffer: $205
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Thanks for sharing this, Gamze. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I hope October is when things finally get easier.
