Nova is isolated after a long hospital stay: a call a week would help

No advice needed - just a kind ear and some conversation for 30 minutes a week.

After a long hospital stay, I have been mostly housebound for 4 weeks. My family live far away, and the days can feel very long. I'm not looking for therapy - I've that covered - but for conversation. I'm hoping for someone who can call for about 30 minutes once a week whenever suits us both. I like music, books and gardening, and can listen to anything. This can be from anywhere in the world as long as you speak English. We can arrange the calls through the platform, with email shared only when we're both comfortable. Thanks for even thinking about it. Glad we found this place.

rooting for you. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.

    • sending good thoughts. Hope you get there. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.

      • best of luck. I hope things turn around soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Dundee

Hope things get better soon. Shared it with a few friends. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Blessings

              • sending love. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Put this on a community board in Hanoi this morning. Love from Hanoi!
