Don't let Josefa's family go through summer without heating
Josefa is behind on heating bills after August's medical emergency and needs $600 to avoid a shut-off.

The heating account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on December unless I pay $600. I have never been late before August's medical emergency.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $120 first, which I don't have.
I live with two young children, and going through summer without heating isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $600 goes:
• Gas arrears: $410
• Reconnection and late fees: $110
• Down payment on a payment plan: $80
Every share and every dollar helps.
