Njoroge wants to stay at home - help fund four months of care
Njoroge, 81, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $800 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 81. After the death of his spouse Njoroge can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Njoroge desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Njoroge worked all of his life as a shopkeeper, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $800 goes:
• Part-time carer (four months): $570
• Medication and prescriptions: $110
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $65
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $55
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
