Could you share an hour a week with Vijay?
Vijay lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Vijay, who's 74. Vijay lives alone in Pune, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country.
Vijay loves cricket, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Thursday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Sending good thoughts. I hope things turn around soon. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.
Get well soon. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of Pune.
