Nghĩa received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
After the closure of the factory, Nghĩan is 3 months behind on rent and has a termination letter from the landlord.

After a sudden layoff at the textile factory, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Thursday a termination letter was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $200.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by June, we must leave.
I have a teenager still in school at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working weekend shifts, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $200 goes:
• Late fees and court costs: $50
• Utilities in arrears: $25
• First month of rent as a buffer: $125
Thanks for being kind about this.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Nghĩa!
It's all in the list in the story. late fees and court costs is the big one at $50, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Thanks for looking so closely.

Hang in there, Nghĩa. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Warsaw.
