My tuk-tuk: Milan's only way to earn a living
Milan's my tuk-tuk is Milan's only source of income and needs a rear axle replacement costing $1,100.
🇳🇱 Haarlem, North Holland, Netherlands867 views
I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 12 weeks ago the rear axle failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,100. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Labor charges: $350
• rear axle replacement (parts): $630
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $120
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
