Weekly meals for students and shift workers in Rohini
The the Harvest Pantry pantry in Rohini is running low just as demand rises; $300 will stock it for 7 weeks.
🇮🇳 Delhi, India662 views
Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Sunday from the back of a community center. We started with 12 families, and now we feed 267 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 33% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 7 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Rohini market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $300 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $30
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $140
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $130
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Sending love, Mukesh. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My neighbor in Nnewi donated after I showed her your page.
