I make my living with my school-run minibus. 4 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $150. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $150 goes: • Road tax and insurance renewal: $35 • Labor charges: $70 • Towing and inspection: $45 Thank you for reading my story.

you're not alone. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Sent it to 17 people at work. God bless.

      • Keep going. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Södertälje.

        • Rooting for you. Small businesses are the heart of Niterói. Hope you're open again soon. It's not much but it's yours.

          • Take care, Luana. Hope the shop reopens soon.
