Rides to dialysis three times a week for Kamau in Likoni
A rota of drivers to Likoni Regional Medical Center would keep Kamau on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.
🇰🇪 Likoni, Mombasa, Kenya197 views
Kamau has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to Likoni Regional Medical Center alone. After surgery on their hand, Kamau can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 21 km each way.
Kamau is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Sending strength. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
Sending strength, Nakato. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless.
Take care. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Greetings from Incheon.
Take care, Nakato. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes.
Thinking of you and your family, Nakato. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. After 13 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Greetings from Iloilo City.
