My food truck: Raúl's only way to earn a living
Raúl drives for a living in La Plata, and a broken fuel pump has stopped all income for 12 weeks.
🇦🇷 La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina1,543 views
I make my living with my food truck. 12 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $400. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $400 goes:
• fuel pump replacement (parts): $185
• Labor charges: $110
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $80
• Towing and inspection: $25
Every share and every dollar helps.

Hope things get better soon, Raúl. Hope you get there. My husband and I read this together.
You're not alone, Raúl. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Blessings
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Sent it to 10 people at work.
I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. I'm in nursing myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best.
