Keep the water on at Sigrid's home in Stockholm
A disconnection notice for water arrived and Sigrid needs $550 before February.

The water account is 2 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on February unless I pay $550. I have never been late before December's medical emergency.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $140 first, which I don't have.
I live with an elderly mother, and going through summer without water isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $550 goes:
• Electricity arrears: $290
• Reconnection and late fees: $140
• Down payment on a payment plan: $120
Glad we found this place.

Updates from Sigrid
Thank you all. We're at 17% now ($94). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the utility company and confirmed the amounts.

How is Sigrid doing now?
Sending love, Sigrid. Hope you get there. I'll check back for the next update.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Sigrid.
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. electricity arrears is the biggest at $290. Thanks for looking so closely.
Hope it all works out. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Greetings from Spokane.
thinking of you and your family. Shared this with my family. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
Stay strong, Sigrid. This could happen to any of us!
